If your homepage has changed by itself and you can’t change it back to your preferred web site, you may have been infected with Spyware. Another side effect of Spyware are advertising Popups. Spyware can be removed with the correct software tools.

Some web sites can install small programs called 'Diallers.' These programs generally call a Premium Rate telephone during the night if your PC is left switched on. It's good practice to turn off your PC when your not using it, so there is no chance of this happening. Your bank balance will feel the benefit too!

If you are prompted to install a software package when you are surfing the Internet, make sure you know what it is that you are installing. If in doubt, click the 'No' button!
