3G with Public Static IP
The UK mobile networks provide dynamic,
private IP address assignments to 3G devices which in most cases are perfectly
adequate for home and general business use. Your 3G Mobile Broadband internet connection
is routed through a NAT firewall in your providers data centre, which adds
security but also restricts the ability to connect to your Mobile Broadband
device from the Internet.
Your provider will not be able to cater for
any port forwarding requirements you may have, so an end-to-end connection to your 3G device will not be possible even if your device is a
3G router. This limitation also prevents site-to-site 3G connections from
being established for VPN applications.
We can supply fixed IP SIM cards
with public IP address assignments, where your application requires
it. Take the example in the diagram - secure remote administration of your
corporate network can be performed from a laptop and 3G USB modem with
public static IP assignment. Your corporate Firewall can have IP-level
access control configured because your device does not have a dynamic IP
address.
Please contact us for further information or
to discuss your application.

Other Fixed IP SIM Applications:
- 3G Failover Internet connections
- Secure remote management
- SMTP mail server
- Site-to-site 3G connections
- Digital Media / Advertising
- Access to IP CCTV cameras
- Vehicle telemetry systems
- Fleet management systems
- Retail POS systems
- Vending machines
Fixed IP SIM high usage Tariffs
We can supply a fixed IP SIM starting with
just 1GB data allowance provided on the fast and
robust Vodafone network. Other tariffs include 3GB, 5GB, 10GB and 20GB options.
Please call 020 8819 8550, option 2 for pricing and contract details.
Low Data Usage Tariffs
Low data usage tariffs provide cost effective
3G connectivity where typical monthly data usage does not exceed 10MB per
month per SIM. With monthly bundled data starting at just 1MB per SIM and
options for static or dynamic IP addresses, cost effective connections for
telemetry and vehicle tracking systems are possible.
