The Sierra Raven XT  is an industrial GPRS gateway with Serial port. The Raven XT allows serial devices to send data over TCP / UDP or you can interrogate your devices remotely over TCP / UDP. The Raven XT is ideal for low bandwidth telemetry and out-of-band access applications.

Application example

Out-of-band access to a serial console port on a remote mission critical networking device is just one application for the Raven XT. Simply create a virtual COM port connection to the Raven XT 3G IP address and access the remote device as if it was directly connected to your local PC.
