Digi are a well known brand when it comes to manufacturing robust industrial cellular devices and the Digi ConnectPort WAN VPN 3G cellular router follows this trend.  This upgradeable 'Commercial Grade' router provides routed connections across a 3G cellular network and the ability to secure transmitted data using VPN in either client or tunnel applications.

We are not sure why Digi use the phrase 'Commercial Grade' - we would classify this product as Industrial Grade! Future wireless technologies will be supported via the built-in PCMCIA and PCI Express slots with an appropriate firmware upgrade. A built-in 4-port Switch provides wired access for other Ethernet devices.

The units wide -30°C to 60°C operating temperature range and support for 9-30V DC power input makes it suitable for industrial applications including - POS/retail, utilities, financial ATMs, traffic, industrial automation, video surveillance, public transport installations and more.

3G Network Compatibility

In the UK, the Digi ConnectPort WAN VPN supports both Sierra Wireless Aircard 880 and the Sierra Wireless MC8775 PCI Express Mini Card. The cards are compatible with the UK 3G Networks including Vodafone, 3 Mobile, T-Mobile, Orange and O2.

Please contact us if you want a SIM only contract with your Sierra AirCard 880. We can also supply static IP addresses on Mobile Broadband tariffs, if your application requires it.
