Description

The Novatel Merlin X950D ExpressCard supports tri-band HSDPA / HSUPA / UMTS and quad-band EDGE / GPRS technologies, making it Novatels' flagship data card. Out of the box Mobile Broadband download speeds of 7.2 Mbps are possible, with a fast 384Kbps upload rate. The full HSUPA 2.0 Mbps upload transfer rate will be made possible with a future firmware upgrade.

The Merlin X950D can fit in both ExpressCard /34 and ExpressCard /54 slots, providing added flexibility. An ExpressCard to PCMCIA card converter is available for laptops without and ExpressCard slot.

The antenna is completely integrated and has diversity on the 2100 MHz band making it ideal for use in Europe. Data throughput rates are further helped by the Equaliser built in to the Qualcomm MSM7200 chipset.
