If you want jump on the ExpressCard band wagon to future proof your purchase, but your current laptop has a PCMCIA slot built in, you will need a PCMCIA to ExpressCard converter - also known as an ExpressCard adapter.
We sell two ExpressCard adapters, one for Option's range of ExpressCards and another for Novatel ExpressCards. We cannot confirm if the adapters will work with other brands of ExpressCard.
Which type of 3G data card do I need?
Your laptop will most likely have a PC Card slot (also known as a PCMCIA slot), or an ExpressCard slot. PC Cards are the older technology and are wider than the new ExpressCard /32 format. ExpressCards are also available in a 54mm wide format, so make sure you check your laptops specification before ordering.
